AWANA

It is our goal of the Crossroads Children's Ministry Team to connect Children to Christ and I believe the Awana
program is essential into bringing this into a reality.

Awana Because Kids Matter to God!

Awana is a Scripture Memorization Program based upon 2 Timothy 2:15. Study to show thyself approved unto God, a
workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth. It is in three separate segments of time
each one lasting aprox. 25 minutes. Game time where the children play special awana games in a game circle with
relays and challenges, and sometimes special snacks. Handbook time is small group bible memorization. Council
time is large group lesson time where the children learn new songs, bible lessons or a mission story by Bonnie
Silvers

We have Awana for all ages we begin as young as 18 months with the Awana Bees. They just finished with Fun in the
Sun night and they had a kid pool and the children had pretend swimming night, with special games, crafts & fun
time. Our teachers do a great job bringing the fun into Bible Lesson Time.

For your energetic preschoolers Cubbies is a fun get away from everyday life. Children learn key basic truths about
the Christian faith. Our teachers surround these children with love & support to help them embrace the love of
Christ.........either by coloring a bible story picture, role playing, singing, playing games, watching videos, meeting
Cubbie Bear their own mascot.

Sparks is the K - Grade 2 children. During this special time of growing up they are looking for answers and are not
afraid to reach out and ask the hard ones such as Where does God Come From? They are now working on the Sparky
Code which is scripture attached to each letter of S.P.A.R.K.S.and what this means to their lives. They had made
resurrection biscuits and told the story of Jesus life on the earth, his death, and resurrection. We have many projects
and activities to keep these active children busy and focused on God.
Truth & Training is for children grades 3-6 grade. Evangelism and discipleship is our primary focus. We encourage
these young people to read their bible and pray daily as well as getting involved in church. Some of these children
help us in many other ministries of the church such as children's choir, kids church, angel food, ect..... We keep the
boys and girls separated in this age group. They are sincere in their prayers, creative in their projects, and take to
heart the importance of memorizing scripture. We have one young man Alex Goldsberry who memorized all 4 truth &
training Books. What a great accomplishment this is for him and we are all so very proud of him.

Trek (Jr. High) & Journey (High School) We challenge this young adults into Bible learning thru a fresh approach to
learning God's Word. Trek is a relevant contemporary application program to stimulate and encourage these young
adults into a closer walk with God. Journey is intense discipleship and life application with an energetic look on
scripture memorization that is flexible to use with any size group.

Every month we try to have a big theme night.

Awana Clubs meet Wed. Nights from 7-8:30 p.m. Sept - May. Classes for all ages. If you need more information
