AWANA Ministry
AWANA focuses on teaching salvation and scripture memorization to all
children ages 3 through 6th grade and youth in grades 7 and 8. AWANA
stands for:
Approved
Workmen
Are
Not
Ashamed
and is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15: Be diligent to present yourself approved to
God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of
truth.
The AWANA season runs from September through May each school year.
This is a great program for children. If you know of anyone in these age
groups, please encourage them to visit and become part of this ministry.

S.P.L.A.T.
S.P.L.A.T. (Sing, Pray, Learn, Tell) for grades K - 5 meets during the Sunday
evening service. This is offered for those in Pre-school through 5th grade

K.I.D.S. Church
"Kids In Divine Service" is held each Sunday at 10:30 AM during the regular
service for all children from 1st to 5th grade. K.I.D.S. Church services are
complete with their own praise and worship music, ministry time, puppets,
and lessons. Four year olds through Kindergarden attend Junior Kids Church.

Upward Basketball & Cheerleading
Upward Basketball is an evangelistic sports ministry designed to promote
community outreach, develop volunteer leadership, and share the love of
Christ with children and their families, using something as simple as a
basketball. Upward promotes salvation, character, and self-esteem in every
child, while teaching sportsmanship, athletic skills, and respect for authority
in every situation.
Upward basketball and cheerleading is open to the community for boys and
girls, kindergarten through 8th grade. Skill evaluations are conducted prior to
team assignments to insure evenly matched teams are formed. Every child is
given an opportunity to play at least half of the game, regardless of his or her
abilities. Registration and team assignments begin in November and team
practices start in January. League games are played January through
mid-March. Adult and teen volunteers are used for coaching, refereeing,
teaching, record keeping, organizing, and other tasks.

Nursery
Infants (0 - 2 years) are cared for in a nurturing, loving environment. Our
nursery is a special place devoted to providing the smallest members with
quality Christian care. This nursery is staffed during all three main services
(Sunday morning and evening and Wednesday evening).

Toddlers
The toddlers (2 - 3 years) receive special care in a bible-based, fun learning
environment. The Toddler Nursery is staffed to offer classes to our young
members with Lil' Splat on Sunday evening and Awana Bees on Wednesday
night. We have lessons, games, songs, videos, snacks, and crafts to enhance
education. The toddler nursery is available during all services.
